Music for Your Event
Leigh Ann and Scott Matthews combine talents and styles to provide a wide variety of music from the 40’s to some of today’s popular hits. Selections include classic & contemporary western, soft rock, pop, country, blues, and original compositions covering tunes from Sons of the Pioneers and Frank Sinatra to Cheryl Crow, James Taylor, Garth Brooks, Stevie Nicks, K.T. Tunstall and more.
They offer superb vocals accompanied by acoustic guitar, catering music selections to the audience and environment.
The Matthews are ideally suited for wineries, restaurants, pubs, festivals, receptions, reunions, banquets, weddings, cook-outs, trail rides, western events, etc. Additional musicians can be added if needed.

Joan’s performance can be “spun” to fit your event. Currently Joan performs a stage show and can truly make a rope come alive. Her mastery of the Mexican and American styles of roping is so complete that she performs effortlessly. She combines years of stage and rodeo experience and performs a roping act with over 80 tricks in each routine. Joan’s performance is FAST MOVING, COLORFUL, FASCINATING and EXCITING to watch. Joan performs to western music which can include a professional rodeo announcer’s voice-over explaining some of the tricks as she does them. She can also do a spinning act where black lights transform costume and ropes into a glowing performance, should a complete black out setting be available. Her routine requires dexterity, precision and skill reflecting an authentic link to the beauty and flair of the original roping performed during the wild west era.
I have a medicine show that is set in the 1880’s. It is a show for all ages with Prof.Hyrum P. Hedgethicket, a con man who sells his wares, has magic tricks that can be solved by kids, audience participation, makes it rain and gets a kiss from an unsuspecting participant at the end.
I have performed for twenty-eight years at the Chuckwagon event at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. I have also performed in Pawnee Bill’s Wild West Show (10 Years), Colorado Springs Poetry Gathering, L.A. County Fair, and many events in the state for the last thirty years.
