Traveling Exhibits
Booking a traveling exhibit is a great way for your community to participate in the Chisholm Trail 150th Celebration without a tremendous amount of work or expense. Consider placing a traveling exhibit in your library, town hall or school foyer. Really, nearly any public space can work. Most can be modified to fit different types of spaces. Think about including artifacts that are unique to your community or region.
To add to the excitement, you might consider hiring a cowboy poet, singer or other performer. Your nearest University, Museum or Historical Society is a great place to look for speakers that can provide historical context to the exhibit.
